I notice that I speak and eat much slower than most people. Its so funny to me. I went to lunch with a friend today and I wasn’t even half way done when she finished. It’s not the first time that’s happened, by a long shot. I was also just watching myself being coached on a recorded video call and oh my goodness, I am a SLOW talker. One of the misunderstandings people sometimes have about the kind of mindfulness coaching I do is that they need to make themselves happy through meditation and the practices I teach or they just need to think happy thoughts.
I rather you learn to love yourself in all your messiness. Because let’s face it- we’re all a hot mess at one time or another. It’s just how life goes.
